Learning aim B: Design digital graphic products
Preparing Assets

You need to search for and store the elements for the graphics product you have been asked to create. You can use some of the links you used for the RESEARCH section to get started.

This is not a single lesson task and should be ongoing. Each time you find an image or information to use you should add it to the sources table.

This is an example of a partially completed assets table for a different project.

Activity 1

Complete the following Assets Table to log the web sites supplying any images/information you have found and decided to use.

Activity 2

Save your assets table in your GRAPHICS folder

Activity 3

Transfer the assets from your RECYCLE WITH MICHAEL RESEARCH DOCUMENT. Remember these are all S (secondary sources)

Check that you have all the images and the information you chose saved somewhere in your Unit 6 folder.

Activity 4

Now do some research and add any other images/information you need to start work on your LOGO and ADVERTISEMENT. If you find anything new:

  • Save the image/information into your user area
  • Add the image/information to your assets table

Activity 5

Remember to add anything else you use in the project to the Assets table. At the end of the project you can add your MICHAEL LOGO into the assets table as a P (Primary asset).
