You need to include some audio in your animation. This will be played throughout the presentation unless you choose to include a narrative.

Choose a suitable music track from www.bensound.com

Click DOWNLOAD and save it into your ANIMATION folder.

Remember the audio track is a secondary source and you must reference the track. The statement is:

"FREE Creative Commons License - I can use the music for free in my animation as long as I credit http://www.bensound.com"

Anything you have created yourself (e.g., photographs you have taken) are counted as a Primary Source, anything from the internet is counted a Secondary Source.

Add your chosen sound to your Assets Table

To achieve the criteria covered by the tasks in this section (Learning aim A: Design a digital portfolio), you must show that you are able to:

  • 2B.P2 Describe the audience and purpose for the design of an animation.
  • 2B.P3 Produce designs for an animation product of
    at least 30 seconds duration. The design must include:
    >description of requirements from the brief
    >a storyboard
    >a list of ready-made assets
    >audio.#
  • 2B.M2 Produce a detailed animation product design, including reasons why alternative ideas have been discarded.#
  • 2B.D2 Justify the final design decisions, explain how they will:
    >fulfil the stated purpose and requirements of the brief
    >meet the needs of the audience.#

If you have not achieved the Level 2 criteria, your work will be assessed to determine if the following Level 1 criteria have been met. To achieve the Level 1 criteria, you must show that you are able to:

  • 1B.2 Identify the audience and purpose for the design of an animation.
  • 1B.3 Produce an outline design for an animation product, with guidance.
    The design must include an outline storyboard.
